Pool Rummy on Jalivo brings one of South Asia's most beloved card games to your phone. It's not about luck — it's about reading your hand, managing your points, and outlasting every other player at the table. If you've ever played Rummy with friends or family, you already know the basics. Jalivo just makes it faster, fairer, and more rewarding.
The Game
Pool Rummy is a variation of the classic 13-card Rummy game where players compete across multiple rounds until all but one player have been eliminated. Unlike Points Rummy — where a single round decides everything — Pool Rummy is a longer format. You accumulate penalty points over several rounds, and once your total crosses the pool limit (101 or 201 depending on the variant), you're out.
The last player remaining in the pool wins the entire prize pot. This format rewards consistent play over time. You don't need to win every round — you just need to avoid accumulating too many points. A player who finishes second or third in most rounds will often outlast someone who wins one round but takes a big penalty in another.
Jalivo's Pool Rummy tables are available around the clock with real opponents. The interface is clean and mobile-friendly, the dealing is instant, and the game logic is verified to be fair. Whether you're a seasoned Rummy player or someone who learned the game at home, Jalivo's tables are the right place to test your skills.
How It Works
If you're new to the format, here's what you need to know before sitting down at a Jalivo Pool Rummy table.
Each player is dealt 13 cards at the start of every round. Your goal is to arrange all 13 into valid sequences and sets before your opponents do.
On your turn, draw one card from either the open pile or the closed deck, then discard one card. The round ends when a player declares a valid hand.
You must have at least one pure sequence (consecutive cards of the same suit, no joker) to make a valid declaration. Without it, your hand is invalid regardless of everything else.
A randomly selected card becomes the joker for each round. Jokers can substitute for any card in a sequence or set, except in your mandatory pure sequence.
When a player declares, all others count the points of their unmelded cards. Face cards are worth 10 points each. Aces are worth 10. Number cards are face value.
Once a player's cumulative points reach or exceed the pool limit (101 or 201), they're eliminated. The last player still in the pool takes the entire prize pot.
Choose Your Format
Jalivo offers two Pool Rummy formats. Both follow the same core rules — the difference is how long the game lasts and how much pressure each round carries.
| Variant | Pool Limit | Avg. Duration | Best For | Entry Fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 101 Pool | 101 Points | 20–35 mins | Players who want a faster session with more pressure per round | From ৳50 |
| 201 Pool | 201 Points | 45–90 mins | Players who prefer a longer strategic game with more room to recover | From ৳100 |
Entry fees and prize pools vary by table. Check the lobby for current available tables and prize amounts.

Play Smarter
Before you think about anything else, focus on forming your pure sequence. Without it, your declaration is invalid no matter how good the rest of your hand looks. Get that sequence locked in early and then work on everything else.
In Pool Rummy, a first drop costs you 20 points and a middle drop costs 40. If your opening hand has no clear path to a sequence, dropping early is often smarter than playing on and risking 80+ points at the end of the round.
The open discard pile tells you what your opponents are building. If you see someone picking up mid-range cards of the same suit repeatedly, they're likely working on a sequence in that suit. Avoid discarding cards that complete their hand.
Aces, Kings, Queens, and Jacks are all worth 10 points each. If you're holding several of these without a clear meld forming, you're sitting on a big penalty. Either use them quickly or discard them before the round ends against you.
Your pure sequence can't use a joker, so save your jokers for completing sets or impure sequences. A joker used to finish a set of three face cards saves you 30 points — that's often the difference between staying in the pool and getting eliminated.
In 201 Pool especially, knowing how close each opponent is to elimination changes your strategy. If someone is at 180 points, you don't need to rush — just avoid a big penalty yourself and let the round play out. Patience is a genuine advantage in Pool Rummy.
Why Jalivo
Rummy has been played in Bangladesh for generations — at family gatherings, during long evenings, and between friends who know each other's tells. Jalivo brings that same game online without stripping away what makes it enjoyable. The dealing is instant, the interface doesn't get in the way, and the opponents are real people playing from their own phones across the country.
One thing that sets Jalivo apart is how straightforward the money side of things is. You deposit with bKash or Nagad — the same apps most people in Bangladesh use every day — and withdrawals go back to the same wallet. There's no complicated process, no waiting days for a bank transfer, and no minimum withdrawal amount that forces you to keep playing when you'd rather cash out.
The game itself runs well on standard Android phones. Jalivo hasn't built a platform that only works properly on high-end devices. If your phone handles WhatsApp and YouTube without issues, it handles Pool Rummy on Jalivo just fine. The app is lightweight, the animations are smooth, and the card dealing feels natural on a touchscreen.
Every hand you play at Jalivo also earns loyalty points. Those points stack up across all the games on the platform — Pool Rummy, Cat Fishing, Monster Crash, and the rest — and contribute to your tier level. Higher tiers come with better cashback rates, higher withdrawal limits, and access to exclusive high-stakes tables that aren't available to everyone.
